My not for profit production company, Heartland Films, Inc. has been turning out projects since 2003. My very first film took me to LA after winning the prestigious Women In Film/General Motors emerging filmmaker grant. For ten days seven women filmmakers met the inner circle of the film industry and learned the ropes of the American Film Market in Santa Monica. It was a life changing ten days. I have also served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Women in Film & TV organization since 2007. Film school for me was at New York Film Academy in 2002. I am also an Avid editor and have an editing studio in my home.
